Parent hour responsibilities may include assisting the teachers with child-related tasks and/or performing daily tasks and special projects that are necessary for JELC to provide a sanitary environment for our children and to run efficiently.
Examples of tasks include monitoring of children in the classroom or on the playground (parents must go through background checks and fingerprinting), setting up/cleaning up art projects, setting up classrooms with new toys/activities, sweeping floors, vacuuming, bleaching toys, cleaning the kitchen, and removing of trash.
