The Facility
JELC has 5 main indoor activity areas for children as well as a play ground and large front yard. The playground includes child-friendly rubber mulch.
Infants have their own gated area which includes two play areas and a sleeping area with cribs. One of the infant play areas includes a multi-level design to aide in mobility development.
Older children have a sensory room, a gross motor room, and two other play areas.
JELC also has a kitchen area for snack preparation. Lunches are prepared in a professional kitchen in another part of the building.
There are four diaper changing areas and two bathrooms. The children of JELC often go on walks around the lovely, park-like setting of the HUC campus.
JELC remains locked from the outside at all times. Only those with security badges (staff and parents) can access the facility during operational hours.
